A recap of the incredible time Bremont has had taking part in these recent summer sporting events...
As the world-famous Henley Royal Regatta made a welcome return at the weekend, having missed a year for the first time since WWII over 75 years ago, so did Bremont as the event’s first Official Timing Partner.
With the sporting event being one of the few that remains to be timed mechanically as opposed to digitally, pushing its athletes to their limits, it stands rather in keeping with Bremont’s beliefs and ethos. True to form, the week’s events were fantastic, and the company didn’t disappoint either. We were pleased to be joined by some of our Ambassadors, notably double Olympic gold medal-winning rower Alex Gregory, as well as friends of the brand including young actors Sopé Dìrísù, Jeremy Irvine and Martins Imhangbe, New Zealand Cricket Captain Kane Williamson, and Jordan Wylie.
Being headquartered only a stone’s throw from the course itself, Bremont is a natural fit for the quintessentially British affair. It was a pleasure to be back serving customers once again at Henley’s Royal Regatta and of course showcasing some of our beautifully crafted timepieces including the rather exclusive Regatta collection which are designed for competitors, winners and Steward’s.
Bremont began the season back in July by inviting some new friends, a group of 12 young actors, to enjoy a day of shooting and an all-encompassing tour of the new state-of-the-art watch manufacturing centre, “The Wing”. The 12 rising stars who included Ben Hardy & Gwilym Lee from the Academy Award winning Bohemian Rhapsody film, BAFTA Winner Malachi Kirby, Sopé Dìrísù who recently starred in Gangs of London and Jeremy Irvine from Mamma Mia – Here We Go Again, were invited by Bremont Co-Founders, the English brothers, to the brand’s inaugural “Young Guns” shoot in an effort to support and celebrate prospering British talent.
Nick and Giles English spent the morning with the group touring them around The Wing and sharing their love of British manufacturing and craftsmanship. During the guided tour, the group was educated on both the brand's history and heritage and the intricate art of mechanical watchmaking. To the brothers delight, many of the young actors took a particularly keen interest in delving deeper into the skill, signing up to taking further masterclasses at the centre. The group went on to enjoy some of the finest clay pigeon shooting this country has to offer at the award winning E.J. Churchill shooting ground in Buckinghamshire.
Since Bremont was announced as the Official Time Partner to Williams Racing earlier this year, the British Grand Prix was always going to be a special event to be part of. Inviting Williams Racing driver George Russell and Team Principal Jost Capito for an afternoon spent discovering the wonders of our newly developed headquarters and watch manufacturing facilities were among the highlights. That's not to forget the fantastic day spent putting Bremont Ambassador Jason Fox through his paces, challenging his admiration for F1 racing. Fox joined the pit crew, getting hands-on, to learn the fast-paced skill of tending to the race cars during their split-second pit stop during races. Moreover, as the anticipation rose for the inaugural home event on the Saturday, Bremont joined the excitement teamed with a group of renowned film stars, including self-proclaimed F1 fanatic Jeremy Irvine and first-time attendee Harrison Ford. Of course, the races did not disappoint, but perhaps the excitement of visiting the pit lane took the Bremont group’s experience of the event to the next level.
