Budd’s wonderful work force is volunteering their time in order to make and supply masks and scrubs in the first instance. Budd will then be selling its masks online for the wider public from Monday 11th May and with proceeds from sales going to homeless charities, Crisis UK and The Passage.

Bremont Budd 1

London institution, Budd Shirtmakers is a British men’s haberdashery shop located in the heart of Piccadilly since 1910. The company is best known for its beautiful, bespoke shirts, hand cut by an expert team in its cutting room above the shop. It remains the only bespoke shirtmaker where a customer’s fitting is handled by a dedicated cutter. This ensures that your measurements and special requests are directly reflected on your unique bespoke pattern. This is filed under Budd’s cutting benches and will forevermore reflect your corporal evolution. There are three cutters in the Budd team with a collective experience of almost a century.

Sharing in the same passion for ‘British made’, Budd is one of only a handful of truly authentic shirtmakers still remaining in the UK today. As well as bespoke shirts, Budd offers an excellent Made to Measure service as well as Ready to Wear shirts for formal, dress and casual wear, and a wide assortment of other men’s essentials.

The team at Budd has a wealth of sartorial knowledge and advice. So much so that reportedly one American arrived in the store to overhear an elderly gentleman finishing off his order for some boxer shorts. The assistant enquired as to whether the customer would like the ‘Buckingham Palace’ cut, and the gentleman nodded sagely. Upon his departure, the American nervously enquired as to what the Buckingham Palace cut might be to which the assistant promptly beamed back. “Big ballroom Sir!”
