The military is in our DNA
Tested to specific requirements
Inspired by the military
Developed in association with the world’s largest ejection seat manufacturer, Martin-Baker.
3 year warranty
Bremont focuses purely on beautifully made mechanical movements and every watch in our core collection has passed each of the rigorous precision tests necessary for the ISO 3159 chronometer designation. Every movement is finished to the highest levels of craftsmanship and all are guaranteed to within -4 and +6 seconds per day. For this reason Bremont is one of the few watch makers to offer at least a 3-year warranty on every timepiece.
Proudly made in the UK
Great Britain has a wonderful history when it comes to watch making and has probably been the home to more advances in horology than any other nation. Bremont is determined to play a pivotal role in the reinvigoration of this industry on British shores and as a result, Bremont manufactures parts at its Parts Manufacturing Facility and every Bremont is hand-build and tested before leaving the Henley-on-Thames workshop.
The DNA of the U-2 chronometer lies firmly with the military following the pioneering development and dramatic success of the Bremont military air-crew watch, developed in association with Martin-Baker. The elite 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale wanted a watch with the same testing history as the Bremont MB but one that had also been custom-tested to their own requirements. The finished U-2 chronometer has most of the advanced elements of the MB, including; the Anti-shock rubberised movement mount; designed to withstand the MB ejection seat program, but also added functionality. Blue leather strap and additional Temple Island Rubber strap.

Introducing a darker side
The U-2 chronometer has most of the advanced elements of the MB, including; the Anti-shock rubberised movement mount
Being able to read your watch at night is critical, we apply as many as 20 coats of Super-Luminova® paint to ensure optimal visibility in the poorest of lighting conditions
Multi-Layered Anti-Reflective Sapphire Crystal
The curved sapphire crystal has multiple layers of scratch resistant anti-reflective coating, ensuring your watch is legible in all light conditions and remains looking it’s best, always.
This technology allows the bi-directional bezel to rotate whilst gliding on a series of four ball bearings, producing excellent accuracy, durability and a satisfying click for every minute rotated.
Anti-shock movement mount
Included in every watch is a rubberised movement mount. A flexible ring connects the mount to the outer case, absorbing shocks and allowing the inner case and movement to float
REINVIGORATING THE BRITISH WATCH INDUSTRY
It is not completely unexpected to find that the world sets its time by Greenwich and not by Geneva. Whilst Geneva and Switzerland may be producing the vast majority of luxury wristwatches today, this certainly wasn’t always the case. In 1800 half of the world's watches, around 200,000 pieces a year, were produced on British shores by British watchmakers, which is an incredible statistic. Another wonderful statistic is that probably over 60-70% of the innovation in a modern day mechanical watch has come from Britain, including every major escapement design. Bremont's mission has always been to play a part in bringing back watchmaking to British shores. The Full story
