BRITANNIA RULES THE ROADS

Bremont and Jaguar continue their relationship following an overwhelming response to the creation of six Bremont chronometers which complement each of the six ‘continuation’ lightweight E-Type sports racing cars currently being built by Jaguar. The new range of watches are dedicated to the road-going Jaguar E-Type which at its 1961 launch was not only the fastest production car in the world but, according to Enzo Ferrari, the most beautiful.

A TRULY BRITISH COLLABORATION

Jaguar first collaborated with the Henley-on-Thames based watch company during the launch of the cutting edge Jaguar C-X75 in 2010, for which Bremont developed a unique, analogue dashboard clock in keeping with the 778 horsepower hybrid supercar’s futuristic nature and 205 mph performance.

Additionally, when asked to create something special for the XJ75, Bremont revealed a mechanical rather than quartz clock designed with superb functional clarity in its detailing which combined with a beautifully crafted outer bezel suggested strength and longevity - something so pertinent to both of these British brands.

E-TYPE: DESIGN INSPIRATION

Drawing inspiration directly from the car, the 43mm watches feature a black dial based on the look of a Lightweight RPM gauge and a subtle ‘red zone’ quadrant. The chamfered hour and minute hands replicate the instrument’s tachometer needle.

The Trip-Tick® case is constructed from polished stainless steel and the winding crown is engraved with the pattern of the period-correct Dunlop racing tyres fitted to the E-Type. Turning the watches over reveals a further reference to the car in the form of the automatic winding rotor - visible through a sapphire crystal case back - which takes the form of an exquisite miniaturisation of an alloy-spoked Lightweight E-Type steering wheel.

THE BREMONT JAGUAR COLLECTION

The range instantly transports the wearer back to the golden era of 1960s sports car motoring, its dial carrying the Jaguar heritage logo and its hour markings being in the style of the numerals found on E-Type instruments.
